Model UN Poker
A committee-room card game built on a poker engine. Short name: MUN Poker.
It is not just a game you play, it is a game you discuss. The rules are the icebreaker, the bids are the negotiation, and the signed deck is the souvenir.
Arrive with strangers. Leave with a signed object.
Model UN Poker is built for the bookends of an event. On day one you crack open the deck to break the ice with people you have never met. The rules give everyone something to do with their hands and something to talk about across the table.
On the last day, when the strangers have become a table of friends, everyone signs the deck. What started as an icebreaker becomes proof of the friendship it helped build.
Day one it is a way to meet. The last day it is a souvenir you all signed.
What it is
A committee-room game built on a poker engine, with a staged reveal, targeting, and repositioning of bids. Easy to teach, quick to finish, and different every round.
Quick to learn, quick to play
Sit down, deal, and you are negotiating within minutes. Behind the friendly surface is a real poker engine, so the tactics keep opening up the more you play.

A room full of committees
Run one table or fill a whole hall. Every table plays its own quick session, so the game scales from a pair of friends to a conference of delegates without changing the rules.
The deck doubles as a D6, a D13 and a D4
This is a neat property of the deck, not a rule of the game. Nothing happens in play when you draw one of these cards. It just means the deck can quietly stand in for a set of dice when you need one.
Exactly 9 of the 54 cards carry a lion, and 9 out of 54 is exactly 1 in 6. So asking "is it a lion?" on a single draw is a true, fair D6. The 13 ranks give you a fair D13, and the 4 suits give you a fair D4. Because rank and suit are independent, one draw hands you both a D13 and a D4 at the same time.
Property of the deck only. Drawing a lion does not shuffle anything or trigger any action in the game.

Each suit is a committee, mapped to a real Model UN body. Tap a card to read what its committee debates and how its suit shows up in the deck.

Suits are thematic, not mechanical. No suit has a special power. Suit matters in only two ways: it breaks ties (spades beat hearts beat diamonds beat clubs), and collecting five of one suit scores a "Committee Flush."
